Advanced Yoga Workshop
with Paul Broomfieldt
Saturday, September 18, 2010
12:30 - 2:30 pm
Explore the world up-side down! This advanced workshop will cover inversions seldom practiced in most group classes. Paul’s expert instruction
will provide
safe, consistent and understandable steps to help your practice awaken to new depths. The workshop is welcome to all who are willing or eager to bring their
physical (as well as mental) body to another level.
Postures that will be focused on will be:
• Sirsasan (Head stand)
• Sarvangasan (Shoulder stand)
• Mayurasan and Pincha Mayurasan (Peacock and Peacock feather)
• Adho Mukkha Vrksasan (Hand stand)
Since inversions deal with a lot of core stability and control, there will also be postures and tips on how to improve the core body, and hence, improve
your inversions.
Paul Broomfield has been instructing full time since 2004, knowingly practicing since 2002. Influences and integrations of style include Barkan Method
Hot, Ashtanga, Vinyasa Flow, Bikram, Akhanda, Anusara, Samarpan Meditation. His trainings in deep tissue massage and sports therapy prior to yoga have enabled
an easier transition into the workings and guidance of the physical body in practice.

A WEEKEND WITHIN
October 2nd & 3rd 2010
A WEEKEND WITHIN provides the perfect introduction to the foundational practices of Yoga, Meditation, and Ayurveda – the oldest healing
system on the planet. Each day you will learn tools and techniques to balance and heal your body, your emotions, and your soul.
Any reason for practicing Yoga is a good reason. Enhancing flexibility and releasing stress are as noble a purpose for performing yoga as the awakening of
spirituality. This is the great gift of Yoga. It serves and nourishes us at every level of our being and spontaneously contributes to greater well being in
all domains of life.
Meditation is a healing practice that allows us to experience inner calm and deep relaxation. For thousands of years people have used meditation to move
beyond the mind’s busy activity and emotional turbulence into profound peace and expanded awareness.
Ayurveda (Ayur=life, Veda=knowledge). The classical Vedic texts of India date back thousands of years. Traditional Chinese medicine and Tibetan
medicine both have their roots in Ayurveda. It offers a body of wisdom designed to help people stay vital while realizing their full human potential. Providing
guidelines on daily and seasonal routines, diet, behavior and the proper use of our senses, Ayurveda reminds us that health is the balanced and dynamic
integration between our environment, body, mind and spirit.
